Job Summary
- As Finance Director you will be managing and controlling business unit financial activities.
- Conduct complex financial analysis and develop reports to provide insight to business operations.
- Work closely with executive management in managing and reporting of their business and special projects.
- As the team grows you will train financial analysts to support you in your role.
Essential Job Functions
- Prepare, review and consolidate monthly budget variance analysis and forecasting reports, provide feedback and recommendations that will be used to present to upper management.
- Consolidate monthly key performance indicator metrics reports and provide analysis on trends and drivers.
- Review, maintain and improve financial and business models to provide the business additional insight to make decisions on improving the business. Review special projects and initiatives to provide critical feedback to business partners.
- Build and evaluate annual financial plan for correct linkages to the strategic and tactical business plans .
- Prepare ad hoc reports, analysis and conduct special projects as necessary.
- Analyze underlying business factors that drive expenses within the department and present to leadership team. Lead process improvement projects.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- CPA required with CMA, MBA, Masters or similar preferred.
Experience Requirements
- Candidates should have strong analytical skills, a minimum of five years of prior Accounting or Finance experience, and extensive experience in expense management, building and maintaining budgets.
Special Skill Requirement
- Advanced Excel skills including working knowledge of pivot tables, macros and functions.
- Working knowledge of Access software.
- Proficient in applicable business software such as Business Objects, EPM and SAP.
